Okay I live in the Fareham area and I finish work early on Friday. I would love a class to go to on a Friday afternoon. Anyway around Portsmouth area would be good. Does anyone know of one. I know Bev did one but I think she packed it in.


Just want to go and have a bit a dance before everyone else finishes work.

Help please - in this months LD magazine theres an article on page 78 from Debbie Lees, Southampton and a LDC club Itchen to Dance.

Does anyone here have a contact number or website even for this class. I've never heard of them and might like to go along.

Rustlers Line Dance Club, Cowplain Social Club, London Road, Cowplain Hants.

Thursday evening 7.30 to 8.30 beginners – rest of the night everyone. I left at 10.30 and they were still going.

Only £1 to get signed into the club, then just a meagre £1.50 for the class and a very cheap social club bar. Excellent dance floor with loads of room. Great company.

This week I learnt – (but don’t ask me to get up and do them untutored just yet):

I'm planning to go to a line dance class at the Lee on Solent community centre next Wednesday evening. Have any of you been to this class at all? You know - instructor, beginners, intermediates, country, pop, good, bad or indifferent.

I can't find any details other than start and finish time.

I went last night and I have to report it was probably one of the friendliest clubs I've ever been too. I couldn't have been made more welcome. It was a very busy class with probably 40 or 50 people there. Lots of dances taught and at only £2.50 a class you certainly get your moneys worth.

As it's in a community centre there is also a very cheap bar. I didn't partake as I was driving. Anyway I have found that drink and linedance do not mix for me.

I wouldn't recommend it to a beginner as it's definitely for people who know what they are doing.

Good mix of country and pop which I like.

Pleased you had a good time DG. What were they teaching? £2.50 what a bargain.....how long was the class?

It was a 2 hour non stop class - sorry didn't have time to note down the names of the dances.

All I should tell you - my life has been a whole heap of strife and nonsense for the past year or so.

In fact for me 2007 has been absolute pooh. As a result my linedancing has more or less come to a complete halt. It has been one of the casualties along a very rocky road.

I'm on the road to mental recovery though and I'm back so I will be looking to find a new class very soon.
