'THE ELIZABETHAN'... a dance for our times????
The music is based on the classic 'Elizabethan Serenade' made popular by Mantovani in the very early 1950's. This Ska/reggae version stems from 1969/70 and was popular in many Countries throught the World.
The musical phrasing is 36-44 throughout the dance so a 36 plus 8 count simple Tag at the end of EVERY second wall is the order of the day. Last time I did a 'phrasing' this was with DOOHOO.. and that proved a headscratcher to some... though DOOHOO ('All I wanna Do') is the only Sugarland dance-track to be used at IRONLINER 2009... so a lot of people in Europe sussed it out....haha.
Do read the Dance/styling notes - they are an integral part of the dance.

The Elizabethan
Choreographed by:- William Sevone, May 2nd 2009
Choreographed to:- "Elizabethan Reggae" (74 bpm)... Boris Gardiner (many compilations)
Four Wall Line Dance:- 36 count – Advanced Beginner
Dance sequence:- 36-44-36-44-36-44-36-44-36-20
Choreographers note:- The dance has an alternate 36-44 count throughout and with the music being typical 4/4 Ska rhythm, the ‘dance’ is deceptively fast. Because of the tags, even though repetitive, this dance is aimed at the experienced dancer who has just moved into the Advanced Beginner level.
Be fluid with your styling – and read the notes.

Always remember - 'The beat may reach your feet - but the rhythm should electrify your soul'.
Dance starts after the initial 16 count intro with weight on the left.
