Hi everyone

Just got back from a Top-Up Sunday – workshop event run by Andy and Barbie Snell (Toein’ The Line). The whole idea was to learn dances that were up and coming and already being danced that not everyone knew – really to bring us all up to date.

What a great idea – sometimes it’s difficult for us all to learn the new dances in our own time at home!

A full hall of people were there so it shows how these kind of events are needed!

The afternoon started at 12noon and finished at 5.30pm – tea, coffee and biscuits were available for everyone too – so they’d thought of everything!

So, here are the dances Barbie taught – Andy was the DJ for the afternoon.

I WANT CANDY
Choreographed by Maggie Gallagher

LOVE TODAY
Choreographed by Pete Harkness

NOT LIKE THAT
Choreographed by Robbie McGowan Hickie

A PLACE TO RUN
Choreographed by Robbie McGowan Hickie

3 more dances had quick walk throughs by request, they were:

OH WHAT A NIGHT
Choreographed by Andy and Barbie

IS IT SO
Choreographed by Maggie Gallagher

SHOW ME WOT U GOT
Choreographed by Neville Fitzgerald and Julie Harris

All dances were listed in a programme for us to see so you could choose to learn one or all – the choice was yours! And, all were well received by everyone there.

What a fab afternoon it was too. Praise indeed to Barbie for teaching so many dances in such a short time and they weren’t rushed either, the event was advertised as not for beginners so just at the right pace for everyone there to pick them all up.

In between teaches, requests were played – old and new which was great too – so just like a social!

All scripts will be on our website – Scripts/Workshop Scripts shortly.

We are now looking forward to their next one which I’m sure they will advertise when a date has been set! So, if you live in the Bedford/Milton Keynes/ Luton area, why not come along!

Fi x

Think thats a great idea for a workshop! Idea

Ive been going to 3/4 different classes a week lately so i can try and keep up with all the dances that i dont have time to learn myself!

A chap at one of my own classes told me I was cheating because I hadnt personally learnt the dance i was teaching, straight off the script!! If I hadnt been so tired from going to all the other classes i might just have given him a black eye! Evil or Very Mad
