| I still enjoy dancing California Blue, feel good factor dance in my book. I haven't danced "Where We've Been" for a long time now. Really danced it to death when it came out. Would have to get the script out & recap it. |

| Know what you mean Tigger It didnt seem quite so hard second time around though. Funny how some dances you can jump up and do straight away. Another one I would like to get to grips with again is Patient Heart. (I still cant teach myself dances from scripts ) |

| ahhhhh.... Patient Heart... bit of a story that one of how it came to be danced in the UK. Cut a short story even shorter - Hank from Wales reckoned 'he' was the first to get it it danced in the UK.. but he was miffed to say the least to find out it was already being danced some 8 months to a year before he clapped eyes on it. Many thought only Michael Vera-Lobas choreographed it as only his name was on the sheet. This was eventually corrected to include Lisa Foord (double 'o'). MVL was gobsmacked to find he had about 20 dancers alongside him when he announced he was going to do a demo of a dance the brits will not have seen before. This was at the Crystal Bootees awards a while back. Check with Mike from Route 66 for all the details. Blimey.... running off at the mouth again..... the dance brill... the music even better with Bekka singing just like her Mother (and theres another story .. going back to about 1970.... but another time... maybe.....lol) _________________ Stay bright - Stay happy, Hold on to your dreams

| Yep the oldies are the best ,most people know them well and they are well practiced on live band nights. No harm in recapping them now and again though. |

| How do you define an oldie? How old must a dance be in order to qualify as an oldie? Different places have different lists of oldies. Am I right? |

| Hi Leo.. I can never ever understand Linedancers or their peers (instructors etc). They seem to 'think' that a (golden) oldie dance is around a year old. They sight that 'they learn at least two dances a week so having learnt a 100 dances .. the number one (at the start) now gets shoved into the golden oldies section'. In my opinion... what a load of tosh.. and again in my opinion... a golden Oldie has to be 'at least' five years old. Some people who have been dancing for five or more years will obviously 'remember' that particular golden Oldie when it was first danced. Those who havent - wont... and thats life. And dont forget one very important factor in all of this...The dance may be a golden oldie in one country (especially if thats where it 'started') but there are many many other countries in the World where to them its a brand new dance... and of course... the shoe is on the other foot when it comes to a dance that is or has been popular in another country PRIOR to it hitting the dancefloors in the UK or America for example. _________________ Stay bright - Stay happy, Hold on to your dreams
