For Better – For Worse…..

It was only about two or three years ago when Instructors and dancers were screaming at the top of their lungs about the number of dances with multiple (full) turns in them.
It appeared that either the ‘fad’ of multiple faded or the Choreographers took pity on those Instructors and dancers and (en masse) stopped producing them….. that is until now.

There are now even more dances being Choreographed than ever before - and surpassing the number of turns. It really looks like the Choreographers seem to be trying to outdo each other to see who can produce the most number of turns within one dance. They even seem to be choosing extra long music to add even more turns for the whole dance.

In one (at present popular [sic]) 64 count dance there are:
1x 1 and ¾ turn
2x 1 and ¼ turns
6x full turns
4x ½ turns
5x ¼ turns

….and do we hear ANY rattling of sabres from the mighty Instructors and their merry band of dancers….. nope… not a peep. Have they been smothered into submission???

Soooo, give me a clue and tell me, what dance that is...so I can avoid it badgrin

Did learn a lot of dances in the three weeks and I don´t think that much of them gonna reach our charts at all, sorry....

Hiya Pat,

Glad you liked the Isle Of Wight - its not everyones 'cup of tea'... some say too quiet (I say ..'not commercialised'). If I were to retire (too young at the moment Rolling Eyes

)... The Isle of Wight would be my first choice... that is there was no such place as Australia (back home).

As for the dance... you would know it as soon as you are given a 'demo'... honest.
