Not a flake or crystal down here in the sunny south. Don't know what all the fuss is about.

Hmmmm... other than a few others, has 'everyone gone to the moon'... or at least the CBA bash in Blackpool...

(opening my manilla envelope - didnt have a white 'un) ..and the winners arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre...

A dead cert or there is 'trouble at mill'- RML (Robert M Lindsay - why DID he put the 'M' in - in honour of RMH maybe. ??)....Val Myers (& Deana??).... Barbara/Tinkerbell.... and finally Glen Rogers. Gary Lafferty....maybe, could be one for Steve Healy.... or even a 'triple' for MIL (blimey ..all these abbreviations).....hmmmm who else.... could well be a new 'classification' called 'ONE LINERS'.... nahhhh, not for ultra ultra tiny tot beginner dances but for one liner stories that have been doing the rounds for a lonnnnnnnng time and are oft retold by the originator for whatever reason. This award of a 'wooden boot with open aspect to the front' is mean in a humorous way for people with a sense of humour (obviously)... and the winners arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre...
The Mona - for her everlasting single line story telling of how she was 'trapped' in the lift at last years bash.... Steve Rutter - for a similar single line story that he has been telling for around two years... how he did The Beast on his own in the rain splashing mud all over the place (and everyone hundled under brollies).

Tell you what though... besides the sheer hard work that goes into events like these (a round of applause to Betty and Co if you will) it must cost a bloody fortune... basically you are 'buying' the Hotel for three days... plus all the entertainment...

Anyway......whatever or whoever.... hope they all had a cracking time and all danced (& dressed) to impress.

Wellllllll... blow me over with a kiss.....

ABSOLUTE BEGINNER DANCER - 'Simply Mambo' - Val Myers & Deana Randle
INTERMEDIATE DANCE - 'Firecracker' - Robert Lindsay
DANCERS CHOICE OF THE YEAR - Steve Healy

...oh and the RISING STAR award this year went to Kim Ray. It looks like it IS finally going back to the original concept of the idea....

I very strongly suspect the International Choreographer award given to Jo Thompson was more of a symaphy award for the all the trauma she has gone through over the past 12 months. That being the case, though well thought - is not very meaningful. But like many many others I wish Jo well with her ongoing recovery.
