I have avoided the Eurovision this year simply because... I didn't realise our ears (and sanity) were due for another battering...

I watched the last 20 minutes and heard the songs for the very first time..... Michele Gayle... OMG scratch ... what WAS she singing anyway...
and Andy's song... this surely was an obvious revamp of the 1989 Sidney Youngblood song 'If Only I Could'.

When it was announced that two would go through I thought... along with many many others... its going to be Andy and Michele... affraid Rolling Eyes

...but..... when the winner was announced... did I not see Michele throw a complete strop and walk off the stage... mind you simply EVERYONE [sic] was saying SHE was gonna win it....bit like that Line dancing person who lost out on SCD.. ??

anyway... the aftermath.... Lets see just how many dances... and by whom.. take up the cudgel... reckon the first will ALREADY have been choreographed [factory processed].

What say you lot....lets hear it...soapbox

I was forced to watch this show with my sister and true to form it was mostly cr*p.

However I did really like the winner and the song. It may be some sort of rehash but I enjoyed it and he really could sing. I liked that he wrote it himself to. A proper Uk entry. I wasn't too chuffed about having foreigners representing us. I'm not against my fellow europeans - far from it - but to me its wierd to have people who are not from the UK involved in the UK entry.

My sister kept muttering about it not being a 'euro' song which was probably why I liked it. Amazing that he won considering the circumstances. Anyway good luck to him and even if we are treated like billy no mates on the night, who cares - I hope he has a hit record with it.

I didn't see it. Would have liked to have seen Rob the builder. He was one of the guys who auditioned for the part of Joseph, which eventually went to Lee Mead. I did hear that he was singing a balad.

Did you hear him Mike?
